Chile 8.8 earthquake

This is a photo taken after the magnitude 8.8 earthquake in Chile. The quake is so strong that it is felt 2,900Km away from the epicenter. There are many casualties and its still rising. Strong aftershocks, 29 of them magnitude 5 and above and 1 that is magnitude 6.9. Waves 6 feet above normal hit Talcahuano near Concepcion 23 minutes after the quake, and President Michelle Bachelet said a huge wave swept into a populated area in the Robinson Crusoe Islands, 660 kilometers off the Chilean coast. There were no immediate reports of major damage from the waves. Experts warned that a tsunami could strike anywhere in the pacific region, and parts of asia, including Philippines, New Zealand, Australia etc. The tsunami is expected to arive 24hrs after the quake that happened at 3:34am.

Here in the Philippines, alert level 1 is issued on the eastern part of the country. These includes, Davao, legaspi and others near these places. The first wave is not the strongest, tsunami hits with multiple waves ranging from 5 min to 1hr. People can say that the danger is over when 2hours after the last wave have passed.

Wild Ones

If you played the game "gunbound" before then you you'll be familiar with this game, the objective is the same. This game is an application in facebook, to play it all you have to do is search for wild ones in the search bar of your facebook, then click "go to application", and all you have to do is create your pet, and you are ready to fight, or fire some cannons.

If you are not familiar in gunbound, then the objective of wild ones is simple, be the last man standing, or in this case be the last pet standing. To start a game, all you have to do is go to multiplayer, then click play to enter a random room, or you can create your own, then invite your friends in that room, you can also join a room that your friends created. To play this, all you need to do is calculate everything... aim and fire that's all, of course you need to calculate the strenght of the throw too, with practice you should be able to play it like a pro.

MMORPG

In our generation today, offline gaming is just too boring for people. I'm not saying that they are not played anymore, although they are still fun to play with, you just can't play them long enough. But still we have to thank these offline multiplayer games, why?, because all of the online games are based in these offline games.

So here comes the online games, they are fun to play, and you get to meet different kinds of people that you will not meet in personal. Online games are 2 in 1, first is you get to play it, second is its just a big chat room where you can chat with friends you met and with others as well. If you ever get tired of playing at some point you can simply chat with your friends, or have fun with your Avatar, dress it up, make it dance, or do whatever you like with it.

Arua ROSE Online - Rush On Seven Episode is the best MMORPG I have ever played, with active GM and staffs this game beats all of their competition. You might say this game is not the number one ROSE private server, this is because Arua ROSE is not a fail server like the others where they will sacrifice their market system by giving away special items for every vote they receive, even though Arua ROSE is not on the top list, it still has more population than any ROSE online server out there. In addition, third engines that destroys gaming experience does not exist here, its fair play in this server.

El Niño

El Niño is characterized by unusually warm ocean temperatures in the Equatorial Pacific. El Niño is an oscillation of the ocean-atmosphere system in the tropical Pacific having important consequences for weather around the globe. Among these consequences are increased rainfall across the southern tier of the US and in Peru, which has caused destructive flooding, and drought in the West Pacific, sometimes associated with devastating brush fires in Australia.

El Niño greatly affects our country, as of today February 18, 2010, farms all over our country are experiencing extreme drought. Because of this, our country has already lost almost 2b pesos in the production of rice and corns. This amount can still increase and it is all determined by whether the El Niño effect will be prolonged or not.

The Bottom line is we need to conserve more water.

Greetings, I would like to congratulate the new members of Consolidated Programmers of AMA. They are, Bryan Villanueva, Kisha Mae Vergonia, Evencio Delos Santos, Kimberly Martinez, and Kevin Castro. President???

The May 2010 election is near, with so many politician running for president, do you already know which of them you will vote? In the state of our country now, we really need to choose who we are going to vote. We can't just choose a president because he/she has a good campaign jingle. We need to look at their plans for our country, even those who have good plans needs to be checked, because lets face it, none of the past presidents finished what they promised. Sometimes its just too good to be true.

To tell you the truth I myself will not vote in the 2010 election, for the reason that, in my opinion, none of those who are running for president deserves to sit in that position. You will probably ask where is my proof? I can tell you but i will not because this is the internet and sooner or later someone else is going read this, so no...

CPA

The Consolidated Programmers of AMA is now recruiting members. Any IT student of AMA that is not a member of any club, with good attitude and is willing to join, can register for the entrance exam which will be held at CompLab at exactly 1:00 pm on February 11, 2010. The exam will cover the basics of C/C++. Types of exam are, actual (programming) and written (objective).

Any student Interested can approach Ervin Lomboy, registration for the exam is from February 10-11, 2010.

Requirements:
1. A student of AMA Dagupan
2. Must have own Laptop
3. Not a member of any club
4. Must pass the entrance exam
