This is a photo taken after the magnitude 8.8 earthquake in Chile. The quake is so strong that it is felt 2,900Km away from the epicenter. There are many casualties and its still rising. Strong aftershocks, 29 of them magnitude 5 and above and 1 that is magnitude 6.9. Waves 6 feet above normal hit Talcahuano near Concepcion 23 minutes after the quake, and President Michelle Bachelet said a huge wave swept into a populated area in the Robinson Crusoe Islands, 660 kilometers off the Chilean coast. There were no immediate reports of major damage from the waves. Experts warned that a tsunami could strike anywhere in the pacific region, and parts of asia, including Philippines, New Zealand, Australia etc. The tsunami is expected to arive 24hrs after the quake that happened at 3:34am.
